Growing up my family was constantly around water. We spent countless hours in pools, at the beach or around the lake. My parents made sure I was enrolled in swim lessons early on and I'm forever grateful for it. I got to spend my childhood making memories around water SAFELY. My love for the water continues as an adult, having a pool in our backyard and spending weekends at Beaver Lake.

When my oldest child, Kennedy, was born, having a pool just footsteps away from our back door made me so stressed and fearful. It was imperative for me to find a swim program that would fit my family's lifestyle, giving my child the skills needed to be around water safely. I enrolled Kennedy in Little Squirts Aquatics when she was 9 months old. As an infant she was able to learn a life-saving skill in just 6 weeks! Libby was so caring and patient with her, I immediately felt a sense of relief being around our pool. Shortly after Kennedy’s session I approached Libby about how to get involved in supporting her mission of childhood drowning prevention.

As a seasonal maintenance instructor, my goal is to help kids continue to strengthen their survival swim skills, building confidence and a love for the water with each weekly maintenance lesson. Being a parent is stressful enough! Equipping our children with a skill that can save their life is invaluable! I am so grateful for the peace of mind LSA has given to my family and I’m glad I can give that same sentiment to others!
